Mr. Dai Davies: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether (a) he, (b) Ministers and (c)/officials have had recent discussions with counterparts in the United States administration on the possibility of deploying anti-missile interceptors at United Kingdom bases. [209131]

Des Browne: No discussions of this nature have taken place.

Nick Harvey: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many discussions he has had with (a) NATO and (b) Russia on Ballistic Missile Defence in the last 12 months. [209582]

Des Browne: The issue of ballistic missile defence is routinely discussed at a high level in a number of NATO and bilateral fora.
