The Ministry of Defence has released a list of fifty contracts currently in place for the development of the new 'Successor' Trident replacement submarine that is intended to replace the UK's current Vanguard class nuclear weapon submarines.

The Dreadnought submarines are planned to replace the current fleet of Vanguard submarines in the early 2030s. They will carry nuclear-armed Trident missiles and be powered by a PWR3 nuclear reactor.
